Yes. TravelBuddy247 is free to use. You can create a profile, match with locals and travellers, and start chatting without paying. Some premium features are planned for later, but no payment is required today.
Safety is built in. Chat only opens after both people accept, first meetups are meant to be simple and public — a coffee, a walk, or a market — and you can report or block anyone at any time. You choose who to talk to and meet, and you always meet other users at your own discretion. Read our Safety guide before meeting anyone.
It’s built for international students, solo and young travellers, budget explorers, and locals who enjoy meeting people new to their city. If you’ve just arrived somewhere and don’t know anyone yet, this is for you.
You send a connection request instead of a message. The other person can accept or decline, and the conversation only opens once you both agree. The same consent step applies to AirportBuddy, CarryBuddy and Budget Stays requests.
AirportBuddy connects you with fellow travellers for peer airport-area guidance — like finding check-in, a gate, or understanding signs. You can request help or offer it, matching uses route, airport, date and language, and support happens in public airport areas only. Helpers are other travellers, not official airport or airline staff.
CarryBuddy matches small legal items with travellers who already have spare luggage capacity on that route. Travellers post the capacity they can offer, requesters post what they need moved, and matching takes route, confirmed arrival date, deadline and capacity into account. Both sides have to accept before anything is arranged.
Budget Stays is where affordable accommodation lives. Travellers can look for a place to stay, and private hosts, hostels and hotels can offer one — all in the same service.
Yes. The same account can ask for help and give it. You might request airport support on the way out and offer it on the way back, or carry something on one trip and send something on the next.

The hardest part isn’t the move — it’s the first two weeks, when you don’t know anyone and your old routines are gone. The trick is to lower the bar: you’re not looking for a best friend on day one, just one easy, low-pressure interaction.
Start with something public and time-limited — a coffee, a short walk, a market on a Saturday morning. These are easy to say yes to and easy to leave, which makes them far less intimidating than “let’s hang out.” Pick people who share a language, an interest, or simply the same just-arrived situation; shared context does most of the work. We do not sell your data. Profile information you enter (name, city, bio, interests) is visible to other registered users as part of the matching feature. We do not share personal data with third parties except where required by law.
Account data is retained as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us (see Section 1). We will delete your data within 30 days of a valid request.
Optional matching improvement data use is controlled from your profile settings. It is off by default and reversible at any time. If you opt in, TravelBuddy247 may use pseudonymized activity data to improve matching quality and product safety, and to support research on matching and fairness. Research exports never include your name, email, photos, private messages, password hashes, tokens, or direct contact details.

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting it, you grant TravelBuddy247 a non-exclusive licence to display it within the platform for the purpose of operating the service.
AirportBuddy is a public-area assistance coordination feature. It is not an emergency service, immigration service, or medical service. Helpers are not background-checked. TravelBuddy247 is not responsible for the outcome of any AirportBuddy interaction. You use it at your own risk and with your own judgment.
Budget Stays and Community Stays are currently in preview only. No live booking or payment is active. Community Stay submissions are subject to manual review before any listing goes public. Never send payments to any party outside of TravelBuddy247's official payment flow. TravelBuddy247 is not a licensed accommodation provider or letting agent.
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently remove any account that violates these Terms without prior notice or refund.
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

We collect only what we need to operate the matching feature. We do not sell data. We do not run advertising. Profile data is used only to show you to potential matches. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
We do not fabricate testimonials, reviews, user counts, partner logos, or traction claims. Empty states are better than invented activity.
Every profile has a report button. Reports are reviewed manually. For serious safety concerns, contact complaints@travelbuddy247.com.
ID verification and photo verification are not active for all users. Any review labels reflect limited manual review only. TravelBuddy247 does not claim background checks.
TravelBuddy247 is an independent founder-led project. It is not backed by institutional funding. We will communicate major service changes in advance where practical.
